After the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the political temperature in Delhi is increasing. Aam Aadmi Party accused BJP of conspiring to impose President’s rule in Delhi. In such a situation, AAP warned BJP that imposing President’s rule would be illegal, unconstitutional and against the mandate of the people of Delhi.
He alleged that BJP is not going to win the elections in Delhi. Because of this Delhi wants to topple the government. Party leaders said that a major reason for the conspiracy being hatched against Delhi is the work being done by the government. Be it providing free electricity and water, schools, mohalla clinics or providing pilgrimage to the elderly and free bus travel to women.
AAP leader Atishi said in a press conference on Friday that the people of Delhi need not be afraid of these political conspiracies. Whether Kejriwal is in or out of jail, he will continue fighting for the people of Delhi. Kejriwal’s promise of giving Rs 1,000 to the women of Delhi will definitely be fulfilled. He alleged that it has been learned through sources that the Central Government is going to impose President’s rule in Delhi in the coming few days. He said that signs of this are being seen for the last few days.
AAP alleged that no officer is being posted in Delhi. Many departments inside Delhi are vacant, officers are not being appointed there. For the last one week, the Lieutenant Governor has been repeatedly writing letters to the Home Ministry regarding the Delhi Government. He alleged that he is saying in his letters that ministers do not come to the meetings. Atishi alleged that Delhi government officials have stopped attending any meeting on the pretext of Model Code of Conduct.
At the same time, AAP’s chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar says that BJP has tried several times to topple the Delhi government, but the people of Delhi have given it a befitting reply every time. This time also BJP is trying to run Operation Lotus, so people will answer for this in the Lok Sabha elections. He claimed that imposing President’s rule in Delhi would be unconstitutional, because last February the Delhi government had proved its majority by bringing a trust vote in the House.
